Writeth stays out of the way until the moment you need it.

01

Hold

Place your cursor in any app and hold your chosen shortcut.

02

Speak

Talk naturally. Writeth cleans the result without changing your meaning.

03

Keep going

Release the shortcut. Your words appear at the original cursor.

Private by architecture

There is no Writeth server listening in.

Writeth has no analytics, ads, telemetry, account system, audio history, or transcript history. Your API key and license record stay protected in macOS Keychain.

Good to know

Questions, answered plainly.

When does the trial begin?

Only after your first completed dictation produces usable text—not during setup, permissions, or a failed attempt.

Do I need a ChatGPT subscription?

No. On macOS 26+, Writeth can use Apple’s on-device speech model. On macOS 14–25, you need a separately billed OpenAI API account and your own API key.

Does Writeth store my recordings?

No. Temporary audio is deleted after the dictation finishes, is cancelled, fails, or is recovered on the next launch. Writeth keeps no audio or transcript library.

What happens when Writeth 2 arrives?

Your v1 license keeps working and includes every 1.x update. A future major version would be a separate purchase.
